Research Informed, Patient Focused

Research Informed Psychiatric Care in Houston

At Memorial Park Psychiatry, patients receive care from clinicians who remain active in psychiatric research, medical education, and evidence based behavioral health treatment. This research informed approach helps our team stay current with developments in psychiatry while providing thoughtful, individualized care for children, adolescents, adults, and families in Houston.

Care Grounded in Current Psychiatric Knowledge

Mental health care continues to evolve. Research helps improve how psychiatric conditions are understood, diagnosed, and treated. Memorial Park Psychiatry’s involvement in clinical research supports a more informed approach to care. Our physicians bring together direct patient care, academic experience, research leadership, and ongoing education to help guide treatment decisions with clinical judgment and current knowledge.

Clinical Research Leadership

Memorial Park Psychiatry’s research involvement is supported by Matthew Brams, M.D., a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who serves as Principal Investigator for Empathx MPP. Dr. Brams brings experience across clinical psychiatry, academic medicine, and research. His background includes clinical trial leadership, regional and national medical conference presentations, academic involvement with Baylor College of Medicine, leadership with Bayou City Research, Inc., and lifetime board certification in Adult, Adolescent, and Child Psychiatry. This experience strengthens Memorial Park Psychiatry’s role as a Houston psychiatry practice connected to both patient care and the ongoing development of the field.

Connected to Behavioral Health Research

Through Empathx MPP, Memorial Park Psychiatry is connected to clinical research in psychiatry and behavioral health. Across the broader Empathx psychiatry and neurology network, research experience includes areas such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. This connection supports Memorial Park Psychiatry’s commitment to informed psychiatric care and ongoing clinical learning.

Care Rooted in Experience and Evidence

Choosing a psychiatric practice is an important decision. Memorial Park Psychiatry combines compassionate care with clinical experience, research involvement, and ongoing education in behavioral health. Our team is committed to helping patients and families receive psychiatric care that is personal, informed, and focused on long term wellness.
